High-quality mentoring and sponsorship can increase diversity and inclusion

The October 2018 issue of Modern Legal Practice contains a host of interesting articles. I’m honored that one of my articles is among them. It discusses the importance of focusing on high-quality mentoring and sponsorship to promote inclusion as well as diversity. The article also discusses cross-gender mentoring and sponsorship in the wake of #MeToo, and describes some specific initiatives that are showing promising results.

Law Without Walls ConPosium

I’m excited to be going to the 2018 Law Without Walls ConPosium at the University of Miami Law School! I’m a mentor to one of the student teams again this year, and each year the student projects seem to be more amazing than the year before. My team this year is terrific and the whole event will be fantastic.

I am conducting a 4-part Roundtable series sponsored by the Bar Association of San Francisco to help law firms plan for and manage senior partner retirement and succession. The first Roundtable occurred on April 4 and subsequent sessions will build on the ones before. The other sessions will take place on May 11, June 6 and July 25.
