POWER IN LAW: Lessons from the 2011 Women’s Power Summit on Law and Leadership

This important report is now available. It compiles the proceedings of and lessons learned at a Women’s Power Summit sponsored last year by The Center for Women in Law at The University of Texas School of Law, in which I was privileged to participate. 

Hastings Leadership Academy for Women Events

The 2012 Hastings Leadership Academy for Women will take place July 11-14, 2012 at Hastings Law School in San Francisco. Here are several ways to learn more about the Leadership Academy:

Faculty and alumnae will briefly discuss the skills and strategies learned in the course and how they have translated into real results. Then you will be able to ask them questions and learn how the Leadership Academy can help you and the women in your firm become successful leaders.

2012 San Francisco Roundtable on Women’s Initiatives in Large Firms

On February 24, 2012, I will facilitate a roundtable discussion about the findings of the new, first-ever National Survey of Women’s Initiatives, conducted by the NAWL Foundation. Stephanie Scharf, designer of the NAWL Foundation Survey, as well as a lawyer and social psychologist, will kick off the discussion by presenting key findings from this research. Leading a Delegation to India

The College of Law Practice Management will hold its annual meeting in Chicago.  We will present the InnovAction awards at that time for initiatives that demonstrate excellence and innovation in managing the practice of law.

WILEF will honor law firms that have qualified for its Gold Standard Certification for advancing women in leadership.  As Chair of the Certification Committee, I will be presenting awards to certified firms at a special WILEF luncheon in New York.
